ABOUT AAA
|
 |
 |

|
Since its
founding, AAA has been a
leader in
developing and
supporting safety
education
programs for the
driving public. So
it's appropriate
that AAA enters its
second century of
public service by
Focusing on the
risks faced by older
drivers in our
state. |
People over 65 are the
fastest-growing population
in
the
United States. Though seniors
are more likely to
wear
safety belts and less likely to
drink and drive
or
speed, they're more likely to
be hurt in a car crash.
In
response, AAA launched its
"Lifelong Safe Mobility"
campaign in 2003 to help
seniors stay mobile for as
long
as safely possible. The
campaign focuses on
senior-friendly road design,
driver screening tools,
vehicle safety improvements and
alternative
transportation options.
