As a result of the expansion of our market territory and the array of high quality services offered to our members, The Auto Club Group seeks experienced Catastrophic Claim Representatives for our CAT unit based out of Aurora IL.

Our Claims Representatives independently perform detailed and highly complex claims investigations and processing. Provide guidance and technical support to staff members regarding homeowner activities, as well as, assist management with internal control reviews, special projects, external fraud investigations and other related areas specific to claim operations.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance or a related field or Equivalent work experience, a Bachelor’s degree and IIA coursework preferred
  
• 3-5 years’ investigative experience in catastrophic property claims
  
• Knowledge of homeowner’s coverage, home policy statues, building construction, property provisions, concepts and principles of property claims and fraud and arson indicators relative to auto/home property and/or bodily injury claims essential
  
• Possession of Michigan State Adjusters license (or reciprocal state licence).
  
• Demonstrated skills in organizing, planning, decision-making, analyzing and problem solving are a must
  
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively within a work environment and with the public (e.g. police departments, vendors, contractors, attorneys, etc.) are required
  
• Strong PC software applications experience is required; knowledge of estimate writing programs is a plus
  
• Candidate must be willing and able to lift up 25 lbs., as well as work irregular hours and respond to emergencies on a twenty-four hour per day basis to service customers
  
• Overnight or extended travel throughout the United States may be required

Based from home, our Claim Specialists work independently to perform detailed & highly complex claim functions; authorize repairs & update claim diaries; conduct audits of repair facility estimates & inspections; & assist in the recovery of corporate claims expenditures from insured’s, uninsured motorists, businesses, other insurers etc.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organization & analytical skills. In addition, candidate must possess 2+ yrs experience as a claim representative handling homeowners claims, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance or related field. Ideal candidate will also have knowledge in residential construction and construction practices as well as experience in estimating with Xactimate or MSB IntegriClaim estimating platforms. Bachelor’s degree preferred & Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
