ABOUT AAA

    Teen Driver Safety

Teen Driver Safety

Since its founding, AAA has been a
   leader in developing and
   supporting safety education
programs for the driving public. So
it's appropriate that AAA enters its
second century of public service by
focusing on the age group that
faces the highest level of risk on
   the road: teen drivers.
AAA has worked to pass and strengthen Graduated
Driver Licensing laws in Michigan and throughout
the country. Teens learning to drive need a quality
education, parental involvement and lots of practice
under different driving conditions. They also need to
understand the risk they present to themselves and
others if they do not take this new responsibility
     seriously.

The majority of fatalities in teen crashes are people
other than the teen driver, according to a new AAA
report. Parents, teens, educators, and policymakers
must work together to address this tragedy. AAA
clubs across the country remain committed to
educating the public about the dangers of teen
driving to make the roads safer for everyone.
